🐝Winterizing LucidWild’s Bee Boxes 🍯 It’s all hands on deck for our LucidWild bee hives! We’re adding insulation to the bee boxes to help our bee colonies maintain a consistent, comfy temperature through the cold winter months. A few interesting changes are happening inside the boxes: The worker bees have sadly evicted the drones (male bees) to conserve their precious honey and nectar stores—it’s survival mode! The colony is developing diutinus bees—the “winter bees.” These workers have a fattier, more robust body composition, allowing them to live for months instead of weeks. They’re built to last! Here’s to a healthy and happy winter for our LucidWild bees! 🐝🍯
