Behind-the-scenes look at LucidWild Estate’s farming team grafting Chardonnay vines over the existing Pinot Grigio rootstock on the estate’s 1-acre Hidden Block. Grafting is a process of joining two different vines together and allows LucidWild to combine the strength and complexity of the existing 25-year-old Pinot Grigio rootstock with the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay fruit. 🍇❤️ The Chardonnay vines are French Dijon clones that have been specifically selected for their ability to produce the highest-quality premium single-vineyard Chardonnay from the iconic estate vineyard. The first Chardonnay grapes from the grafted Hidden Block will be harvested in 2025. We’re excited to see what the future holds for the Hidden Block!
