It turns out, bees need a high-tech navigation system just like the rest of us.   To prevent “drifting” – where exhausted foraging bees accidentally fly into the wrong front door – we use a custom system of blues, yellows, reds, greens and distinct symbols. Think of it as a postal code for every colony.
