We just wrapped up an amazing 2025 Harvest at LucidWild Estate with perfectly balanced ripeness of our grapes. Really excited for the 2025 vintage!

Post-harvest, I’m often asked about those small clusters left high on the vine. This is a deliberate decision to leave behind these “tertiary” grapes. Born from a late-season bloom, these berries are furthest from the vine’s trunk and simply too immature. They’re loaded with “green” tannins and excessive malic acid that would throw off our wine’s balance.

By leaving these unripe grapes behind, we ensure only the highest quality, perfectly ripened grapes make it to the crush pad. It’s a small sacrifice of quantity for a significant gain in the purity and quality.
